At My Graphic Garden, we follow a four-step process for logo design.
graphic design
font design / inclusion / styling
colourising your logo
refinement rounds of revision
This process allows us to accommodate the customers exact needs in a concise manner and it works for small businesses across every industry.
Unlike other firms, who will present only a few concepts, My Graphic Garden will present the customer with multiple design options at every stage of the process. For this reason, our design process is very hands-on and involved.
In conjunction with the lead designer, the customer will play an active role in the design process. Your contribution is vital, and your industry experience and business knowledge along with your styling preferences will be incorporated into your final design.
The designer will build upon your ideas, adding their industry marketing and design experience coupled with creativity, and the result will be a range of differing concepts for you to pick from.
Getting Started
Customer pays logo design deposit (50%) and expresses agreeance to all Terms and Conditions.
Customer will then be sent a design brief and information; with business, styling, and marketing questions. The answers to this brief allow the designer to quickly ascertain styling requirements.
From this point forward, your designer will handle all of the design aspects of your project, and the design process will begin.
During the process, you will be asked for constant feedback. By working directly and openly with the designer at all times, the design process will be most successful.
The Logo design process
You will be presented with a round of 3 initial design concepts.
For text-only logos this will be text examples.
For text/graphical logos, this will be a graphic.
For illustration or character development one image will be presented initially.
If you are not happy with any of the presented concepts, you will be asked for further direction and another round of up to 3 concepts will be presented. (excludes character or complex illustrations).
Once the image has been chosen, you will be presented your image proofs along with your business name / and tag line (as necessary) in a range of different fonts. You will receive up to 12 different font examples if necessary.
Once the font and graphic have been decided upon, it is time to colour your logo. You will be presented with your logo in a range of different colours according to your specifications. Up to 12 different colour combinations will be presented during this stage if necessary.
Logo Refinement
This round of final revisions is to make final adjustments until your logo is 'just right'. Final adjustments may include:
adding minor details to graphics
tidying up the overall composition of the logo
adjusting capitalisation of fonts and spacing between words and letters
changing the balance of colour
overall polishing of the logo
Up to 2 final refinement rounds are included in the design process.
